The contrast between darkness and light represents a metaphor, an icon of the eternal contrast between good and evil, between the knowable and the unknown, between revelation and mystery.



Yet that profound darkness can be understood as the phase of elaboration and maturation of a thought, a necessary step towards full consciousness and knowledge.

Through the works of the selected artists, the exhibition aims to present different ways of conceiving these contrasts, so that we can grasp the most evident but also the most hidden and mysterious aspects of our contemporaneity.
